LED Video Wall Rental in Scotland
Warpro have taken delivery of a large batch of ROE Topaz 2.6 pitch LED panels including flat panels and their custom curvable panel system on Brompton processing which is is the preferred choice of the TV and Film industry. The maximum brightness is 1500 nits (in plain language this could be described as very bright), but can be turned down incrementally to suit the environment.
The Topaz system is flexible and can be ground stacked or flown. We’ve used many configurations, including large walls, multiple totems, back to back wall, we’ve even had movable installations on rolling risers. The panels are modular and each panel is 500mm x 500mm.
The option to mix and match with curved and flat panels sections allow for previously impossible installations to be realised and the actual engineering that allows a panel to be bent whilst in your hands is impressive. Each panel has 30 steps and smooth curves of 20 – 30 degrees are possible, including S shapes, arches and full circles….
The Roe Topaz system is a general purpose indoor LED which is equally at home in corporate, exhibition, tv, film, theatre or live event applications. The 2.6mm pitch offers a great combination of high definition imagery and practicality. A 5m wide by 3m high wall is a fairly typical size for hotel conference rooms and this will give a true HD image (1920 pixels wide), making a great backdrop for impactful presentations. The system can be scaled up (or down) as required to suit the venue. It has a relatively lightweight construction compared to competing systems which allows for reduced transport costs and quicker assembly. Roe products are well engineered and their features are widely copied as they continue to innovate…
Warpro chose the ROE Topaz system as the best system to replace their ROE Diamond 2.6, continuing with the Brompton Tessera SX40 processors and fibre XD distribution system. The combination of Roe and Brompton is hard to beat for flexibility, ease of use and image quality, with many customers specifically asking for this combination of manufacturers for jobs where quality and reliability matters.
Our LED system
is based in Edinburgh and we regularly work across central Scotland and occasionally beyond in the major events and conference venues. We hold large stock of LED in Scotland. Contact us with any queries or for quotes on LED system rentals.
The ROE Topaz 2.6mm is an easy-to-stack or hang LED video wall solution that can be used in flat or curved configurations. It is designed for indoor use only and provides and high quality but cost-effective LED display solution for temporary event rental.
The ROE Topaz 2.6 system is more expensive than many comparable LED video wall systems but the lightweight, compact and ultra-durable magnesium alloy mean that the reduced transport costs and ease of assembly (saving time and crew costs) result in an overall saving when deployed at an event.
The system is driven by the Brompton Tessera SX40 video wall processor which takes the input signal and splits it across the XD fibre distribution system which deliverers the content to the LED panel modules. Again the ease of use of the Brompton system delivers time savings when it comes to setup. Panel firmware can be updated from the processor.
Wiring can be configured in a fully flexible way to enable high quality signal delivery, and full signal redundancy can be built-in to your system design (requires a backup processors, redundant XD distribution boxes and looped cabling).

LED Wall at An Awards Show
ROE Topaz 2.6 LED in The Barrowlands Ballroom.
We were delighted to assist with the production of The Specsavers Scottish Music Awards Dinner for Nordoff and Robbins for what must be the tenth time. Yet again Simon and the Team put on a great show allowing the great and good of the Scottish music industry to get noisily inebriated in The Barras whilst raising lots of money for a very worthy cause.
As well as the camera / projection / playback etc, it was the first time that our new Roe Topaz has made an appearance in the Barrowland and there were a few comments along the lines of “oh, so thats what proper LED looks like”…. the central screen is the LED, with projection outside.
So if you feel the need to do something for Charideee , here’s a link…
Conference LED Setup
A 7m wide LED Screen as a Stage Backdrop
This is a photo of a 7m wide by 4m high screen built with our new Roe Topaz 2.6 pitch LED for a conference in Edinburgh. It was the first time we used the new Topaz system, but it’s a great looking screen that goes together fairly quickly and is very flat and even once built. The content pictured has a backdrop (white) plus a full HD PIP (blue).
The 28 square meter pictured represents just under a third of what we have in stock in Edinburgh and we can do compound curves as well as standard big and flat. As ever it’s on Brompton processing so minimal nonsense when it comes to setting up and reliable enough to fit and forget.
Wraparound LED Wall Setup
Back to back virtual life size cat walk.
This job was for The School of Textiles and Design in Galashiels who tasked us to create a lifesize virtual catwalk for their end of term fashion show using LED wall. This required a bit of thought on our part but the ROE ground stacking system is configurable to allow this to be built as a very solid self supporting structure with a 1m width m(and encapsulate the building structural columns). The setup pictured has a 2m height, with a footprint of 6.5m x 1m. Control and playback was all contained within that footprint which kept things neat.
This setup allowed for a neat end totem to fill in one end as picture with a minimal gap. The whole canvas was setup for a model to walk out one side, twirl at the end, and walk back down the other side as the next model comes out. Once installed the system was simple to operate with daily control and playback looked after by the client.
Theatrical LED wall rental
LED totems on rolling risers
We supplied an LED system for the Marc Brew Company show “an Accident / a Life” working with Jamie Wardrop and the production team.
The LED system required 4 separate LED totems that are moved around the stage during the set changes.
“It was a pleasure working with Warpro Productions for our AV and LED screen hire needs on An Accident / A Life. The screen build was easy to build within our tight schedule and their team was always on hand to guide us through the process.” – Video Engineer & Design Support: Jamie Wardrop

Kinetic Video wall Stage Backdrop
“The Steamie” at The Hydro, Glasgow. December 2019.
Taking the Scottish theatre institution into Glasgows largest venue.
AV designer Ryan Dewar designed an immersive video production with video backdrops that set the scene from the moment the house opened and throughout the show. The content was displayed on a 240 panel Roe Diamond 2.6 LED screen on Kinetic truss at the rear of the stage plus a pair of projections onto the Left and Right of the set using Panasonic RZ21k units. Video was played back on a fully redundant Qlab system Network synced with the MDs system with one output @ 3840/2304 feeding the Brompton Sx40 processors and two HD outputs feeding the projectors.
Signal was sent around the vast venue using a combination of Fibre and SDI as appropriate and the screen was fed by just 2 fibre runs to a pair of Brompton XD units, with a redundant pair meaning that everything from the computer to the screen were fully redundant.
In addition 4 manned Panasonic HPX371 cameras plus 3 Static cameras were mixed via a Atem 4k switcher feeding a pair of 7.5m Av Stumfl screens from Panasonic Rz31k Projectors so that every seat in the house had a great view of the action.
Corporate Video wall rental
An HD video wall setup at Gleneagles.
This was a 10.5m wide, 147 panel LED video wall setup for a corporate event in Scotland, which was used to provide a stage backdrop cable of displaying any video input or inputs. This could be corporate wallpaper, or PIP, large scale zoom meetings, presentations, video playback or any combination thereof.
The system was fed by our Brompton SX40 video wall processor which interprets a 12g SDI or 4k HDMI input signal and sends it the individual LED panels that make up the wall.
As this event was in a low ceiling room without existing truss and the LED wall height was relatively low we ground stacked the LED system.
Video wall rental, Scotland
Primal Scream, December 2019 at The Barrowlands Ballroom.
Video Wall Backdrop at a Primal Scream concert in The Barrowlands.
We provided an 8m x 3m video wall that sat on the back of the stage.
The venue has a relatively low ceiling height at the sides of the stage due to the arched ceiling that restrict options for large screens so this video wall was the optimal size.
We also provided a Catalyst media server operator who used the bands show content and played it back from front of house position.
The signal was fed into the Brompton processor (located at FOH position) which takes care of the signal distribution and sends it onwards to the LED panels, initially via the ROE high capacity fibre system. This allows for a relatively easy cable run from the processor to the LED video wall itself – a signal fibre run is all that is required, with an option for a second line to provide redundancy.
The video wall was ground stacked on this job due to the low ceiling height, it can be flown and we have sufficient ROE video wall truss to ground stack or fly our complete video wall system.
