Gallery Projection
Illustrating Landscape architecture within the RSA annual exhibition, we installed a network synchronised Brightsign system with 4 x Optoma EH415ST short throw projectors plus 1 x Optoma EH320UST ultrashort throw unit. These are all full HD specification units.
About the project
The short throw units projected onto the side walls, with the ultra-short throw model set to fill the end wall of the gallery, simply mounted on a low plinth close to the wall. The obvious inclusion of the large greenhouse in the centre of the space and lack of blackout was a limiting factor for the projection, but the projectors punched above their weight and delivered bright high definition images.
This was our first project with the newly released EH320UST and initial impressions were very favourable.
The fact that a 20′ wide full HD image was possible from 5′ in the first place was close to miraculous, and that the linearity, focus and brightness were equally impressive, particularly as this application was beyond the scope that this unit was designed for.
The Brightsign media players delivered full HD content reliably, and were synchronised in a standard master / slave setup, using simple cat5 connections.
